Seriously folks, we have been super busy around this joint! There are still lots of ribbons and bows to play with and you know how a girl likes her bling!! Anyhoo, here are some photos of our Festivus. Air your grievances later. Serenity now!!!
Our 1st gift that we opened Christmas Eve. Marigny is doing most of the opening....
Artist Lucy!! Don't tell my sister but I heard that if you get these special crayons wet you can use them as face paints.....I know, what were our parents thinking?! Don't worry, we will be sure to create some Kodak moments of that!

Artist Marigny!

And here is Christmas morning. To quote Lula Mae, "Oh, wow!".

Busy, busy, busy, open, open, open....

Play, play, play......

Family Photo Christmas 2007

After all that we needed some cuddle time with Uncle Jonathan.....

And a little R and R with Papa Bear.......

Then we got all dressed up and played yahtzee with Nana and Grandad.

We went out for lunch at the Walker the day after Christmas. There were lots of neat pictures to look at by Frida Kahlo. All that museum air made us thirsty!

We went up North for New Years and there were presents wrapped with ribbons and bows waiting for us there! Auntie Lisa picked out these adorable cowgirl shirts, yee-haa! Lucy

Sigh, when is Santa going to get here? We have been waiting and waiting.....
(Lucy)

And how do we know who the real Santa is? There are a lot of impostors out there!
(Marigny)

Is that Santa?

Gooodness! We think that Santa looks a tad grumpy, we don't want him to come to our house!

Personally, I think that was the handsomest Santa in the history of Santas!!

Whatchou talkin' 'bout Willis?!

We know that jolly 'ole Santa couldn't forget about us!

We've been real good this year......
(Lucy)

Honest!
(Marigny)

We'll just keep waiting and waiting............

We had our first fieldtrip on Thursday to the Warner Lee & Rose Nature Center. (we can't make the underline go away, grrrrrrr....) That is our teacher, Margie. First she showed us how to make some animal tracks in the snow.....

Next we learned about bones.....(Lucy)

We weren't the only cute little ladies at the Nature Center. Our good friend Johanna, was with us too! There we are, feeling a fox fur and looking at a fox skull...(Marigny)

We discovered a new kind of turtle, the Soft Shelled Turtle. Did you know they can breath through their skin and stay underwater for up to 5 hours?! What, you didn't know I was a genius?!!..... (Lucy)

And there was a larger than life model of a Pitcher Plant. Yes, I am a genius too.... (Marigny)

All that learning made us hungry so we had a Ladybug Club Picnic with our Moms. Thanks for a great day Sarah and Johanna! Love, The Bookends

-Maringy

Do I look happy here? Nope.

Here? Nope.

And what about here? Nope.

I am just going to stick my noggin in this toy so they can't put any more hats on me.....sigh......

It' been a crazy couple of months. Things have calmed down around our house and we are waiting for snow! (Lucy left, Marigny right)

Last week was Thanksgiving. We would like to thank Auntie Kristy for sharing her pumpkin cheesecake with us. Can you think of a better way to practice our fork-skills? (Lucy)

We got together with our "Girl Posse" yesterday. All of our Moms and Dads looked like fools waving their hands in the air, jumping up and down and making oogity-boogity sounds just to get us all to look at the camera.

Mom and dad finally gave us our birthday presents from Uncle Jonathan. We had been waiting and waiting!

We learned that Chileans have small heads!

Then we "hung out" in our hammocks!

Here's the a video of the present opening. We are not good at opening presents yet, so it is a pretty long video.

Thanks Uncle Jonathan!!!!! We love you!!!!

Brrrrr! We are up North again to have an early Thanksgiving with Grandma and Papa Bear. There is some snow on the ground and a fire in the furnace. It was still warm enough a couple of weeks ago to play outside without jackets. Marigny found some fluff......
And Lucy found a leaf....
