Marigny, shhhhh, stop talking.....I think....yep......there's Mom, we don't want her to find out we snuck out to the all-night thumbsucking party. We would be so grounded if she found out.....
Hi Mom! Why don't you go post some pictures of all our twin friends?! Whew, she's gone....
Hi Mom! Why don't you go post some pictures of all our twin friends?! Whew, she's gone....

Lucy is Lucy & Marignys' Great Great Grandmother and Laura is their Great Great Aunt. Here is the scoop; when we were about 12 weeks pregnant Gigi and Grampsi (Nick's grandparents on his Mom's side) asked us if we had picked out any names for our Baby (pretwin world). We told them our two boy names and the one girl name we had settled on. We wanted two names for each sex picked out so we would have a "backup" name. Then we told them we were thinking about the name Lucy as our second girl name. Gigi informed us that there were identical twin girls in the family and one girl's name was Lucy Mae. We really liked the name, especially since it also incorporated my side of the family, my Grandma Penn's name was Anna Mae. So Lucy Mae and Marigny Elizabeth became our two "choices". One week later we had the ultrasound heard 'round the world, well, the family. Since we are talking about their names, let's be fair and run through the history of Marigny's name. Faubourg Marigny is a residential neighborhood just below the French Quarter filled with Creole Cottage, funky gardens and hip clubs. Marigny is a popular name for girls in NOLA and we really like how unique it is. Elizabeth is my Great Grandma's name, Nick's Grammie's name, my Aunt Beth's name, my Great Aunt Ruth's middle name....I think that is all.......whew!
