It has been quite a weekend here in Twintown. Lucy caught her first cold and has been fighting it all weekend. It started as a dry cough and has progressed into a snotty hack fest and I just WISH Lucy could hack a loogey because that is the only way to get that goo out of the back of her nose. We tried running the shower on "scald", each of us holding a baby in our eensy-weensy bathroom (me sitting on the toilet, Nick on the edge of the tub) and for good measure we threw in a shower-vapor-tablet to add some menthol to the shower steam. Nada, zip, no runny nose whatsoever. Waste of $10 for the tablet but our glasses got nice and foggy. Nick just ran out to get some ecalyptus oil and we'll try to steam with that. What we really need is a sauna, this is Minnesota for heavens sake! The idea has been tossed around but I think our efforts should be concentrated on the lack of ceiling in our kitchen first. Some of you are aware that if you stand at the kitchen sink you can see clear through into the bathroom. Makes for some akward moments when we have company. One friend nearly refused to take a shower at our house for the fear that she would come crashing naked into our kitchen. I reassured her it hasen't happened yet, no worries! I hear the girls stirring so until the next post....
