Did we mention how much we love grape jelly? And we ain't talkin' smuckers! This is homemade delivered to our door in a glass jar from our wonderful neighbors grape jelly. They call it "Grape Jelly Ranchers", mmmmmmmmmmm.........

Oh grape jelly, how we love thee....

Don't you think about swiping my grape jelly cracker!

Get in our bellies!! That is what we say to all our food. Some new favs are triscuts with cream cheese and grape jelly, graham crackers and string cheese. What do you think of our dresses, Auntie Jessica?

Can you tell who is who? The difference in weight between the pumpkins and sisters is the same, 1/2 a pound.

Here we are with our Mama and Uncle Wayne at the Ashland Farmers Market where we picked up our pumpkins. Not to brag or anything but we were the cutest Harvest Babies in the county! At least that is what our Mama and Dada told us.

What's this? Another baby?

In our spare time we have been honing our piano skills and working on a few duets.

Here are our one year stats:

Marigny:

15lbs 9 oz (0%)
27 " tall (3%)
45 1/2 cm head (60%)

Lucy:

15lbs 1 oz (0%)
27 " tall (3%)
46 cm head (74%)

Our doctor said "Give them ice-cream", so our Papa-Bear bought us Cherry Garcia and we loved it!! Other foods we've tried in the past two weeks:

eggs-not a big fan of these
peanut butter-yum
raspberries-double yum
tomatoes-Lucy likes them with sugar, Marigny doesn't like them at all
whole mike-not bad
chocolate milk through a straw-more please!

The posts have been sparse since we have been staying up at Grandma and Papa Bear's house. Our Grandma found out she has Thyroid Cancer.....but they say it's the best cancer to get since it is so treatable. The best-worst-news-ever is how we are looking at it. We are giving Grandma lots of hugs to help her feel better and it seems to be working. If you see our Grandma, please give her a hug too. Pleeeeeaaaaaassssseee!!!! (see our baby-begging-eyes below). Thanks!

HAT BLOGGING!!!
It is officially one year today that we started this blog and we thought it would be appropriate to "hat blog" our way into the next year of blogging fun. This edition of hat blog is a game, and the prize is priceless, a hug a kiss from each of us! The game is simple, guess who we are. This will probably result in years of therapy and identity issues for us but what the hell (oops, swear jar). This was even tricky for Mama and she took the pictures, so take a nice long look before you guess.....here's a hint, we switched hats for each picture......

We really whooped it up over the last days of "The Summer of Lucy & Marigny"! Mom has been busy going through our dresser and closet, packing away all the 3-6 months clothes we just grew out of and replacing them with a whole new wardrobe of fall duds. Thanks to Nana, Gigi and Grandma for taking us shopping.

Four generations in this picture:

We went to the Cottage one last time this season and wowed everyone with our sweet fishing skills!

Hmmmmm, what else, oh yeah....thanks, Nana, for these snuggly vests.....

It finally warmed up enough to get in the lake with Great Grandpa...

We have to give a shout-out to Great Uncle Dan and Great Uncle Jerry for adding these steps to the dock. Next year we will be running up and down these stairs!

Our last "summer day" was spent in our yard, testing out the waters (haha) in our new pool. This pool was a gift from our friend, Ashley, and her folks. Thanks guys! Johanna came over to partake in the last pool-party of the year. Hope your summer was as awesome as ours! Let's see...... Christmas is in how many days?

Our First Birthday Party was a roaring success, thanks to all the help from friends and family! We wish we could do this every Saturday.

Dada/Marigny, Mama/Lucy

Our party theme was "Princess Dirt Party" and we highly recommend this theme for any of the upcoming parties of all our little friends.

Dada was another honoree of the "Princess Dirt Party". Although, we didn't think "Dirty Old Man Party" would have gone over as well. Happy 30th Birthday Dada! We look forward to many years of sharing parties and cake with you.

One year ago today at precisely 10:46 a.m. and 10:47 a.m. little Lula Mae and Yaya Maringy joined our family. Happy Birthday! Happy Birthday! Thank you, darling daughters, for answering the question "Why are we here?". Love Mama & Dada

Hold on tight back there Lucy!
If only everything came wrapped in two bows!
Our Birthday-Wagon-Ride-Parade around the block was the perfect way to start our first birthday.

We are getting so big and independent, we turn 1 year old tomorrow for goodness sake! Our Mama and Dada put us in clothes that look the same and sometimes we like to be different. Here we are, finding new and creative ways to help y'all tell which one is what one and what one is who....(we think we borrowed that line from Dr. Suess)...

What do we have here? I guess those weren't tomatoes we planted....we grew a Lucy!

Not to be confused with the mystical Marigny plant.

"Hey Maringy, Dad looks like he is just about to doze off...."
"Lucy, just hold on. I know how we can get his attention again. How dare he think he can nap?!!"

"Waaaaaa, wake up Dada!"

Farewell My Friends!

Ciao ciao Auntie Sarah and Auntie Minta! Here's one for the road. You are already missed.

Tuesday, August 14, 2007

This is how we rock out with Dada. Marigny is crawling and shaking the pumpkin. Lucy is sitting, bouncing and standing.

And a very Happy Anniversary to our Mama and Dada!!

Sigh......I am not feeling my tip-top Maringy-self. The doctor says it is just a little virus and I should feel better in a few days.

You know what the best part about being sick is? My Dada stays home from work to hold me.

Hum, dum, dum, ditty-dum.....

What? I wasn't doing anything!

Have you heard that we are getting out of dodge and heading for the north woods?

This is what we will be doing this weekend.....
One of the best things about going to the cottage? The fridge is made of chocolate. Mmmmmmmm.

This is what we have been doing during the weekdays. We have got a bit behind on our posts again so hopefully these pics will hold you over until we get back from the cottage.

We went on a picnic with our gal-pal, Johanna. Green grass and Irish music, a perfect summer day.

We know a lot of twins and these two, Lauren and Meadow, came over and had a cheerio party with us on our floor.

Can you see us?

This is me, Marigny, at our Great Aunt Ann & Great Uncle Dan's house. Dan decided that he was going to grow a "prairie" in his yard this summer. What an ingenious way to get out of mowing the lawn. See that bumble bee there? Well our mom didn't and she got stung on the leg. Better her than us!

I (Lucy) found lots of neat stuff to put in my mouth while playing in the Umhoefer Prairie.

Rumor has it that there is a picture of our Mom playing on these same steps when she was about the same age as us here! We are at Kurki's house for our first High Bridge Homemakers Picnic.

Here is the Kurki Sauna, the oldest in the Township. That sauna sure smelled good inside. We'll have to fire it up next time we are there.

Have a great weekend yall! (Lucy left, Marigny right)
If you're lucky, you will see some beautiful summer sights like this one......
